Juliette Schmidt currently heads the Global Pluralism Award and Leaders Network at the Global Centre for Pluralism. The Award recognizes pluralism in action and laureates join a global network of leaders that galvanizes good practice, knowledge and resource development in the field, inspiring and enabling members and others to act to spread pluralism globally.
Throughout her career, Juliette has applied evidence-based approaches to solve problems related to democracy and peace across more than 25 countries in 5 continents, working with organizations like the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), Freedom House, The Carter Center, and Search for Common Ground. Specifically, she has focused on transforming entrenched conflict and polarization, strengthening political and electoral processes, and coordinating and convening networks and consortia to tackle complex issues. Juliette has held board/advisory positions at several organizations and is an Associate at the Parliamentary Centre of Canada.
