This November Secretary General Meredith Preston McGhie spoke at Pre Expo 2020 Dubai Tolerance & Inclusivity Week on behalf of Canada. She was asked to consider the question, how can we foster a greater common understanding for more tolerant and inclusive societies? Ms. Preston McGhie notes that while tolerance and inclusion are important signposts on the path to more peaceful and prosperous societies, pluralism goes beyond this and seek transformative change to build societies that are committed to embracing diversity.
