Looking towards Peace in Afghanistan

Looking towards Peace in Afghanistan after the US-NATO Withdrawal

On June 21, 2021,  the Global Centre for Pluralism contributed to the three-day conference, “Looking towards Peace in Afghanistan after the US-NATO Withdrawal”, co-hosted by the Centre for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (Doha, Qatar) and Arab Center (Washington, D.C.).

This conference brought together leading experts on Afghanistan to discuss common debates of the negotiations, urgent issues in the ongoing peace process, and the possibilities for peace following the US-NATO military withdrawal this fall. Secretary General, Meredith Preston McGhie contributed to the panel, “Complexities of the Formal Peace Process”, and shared the opportunities that a pluralist lens can bring to peace processes.
