Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 vice-pr\u00e9sident principal des affaires ext\u00e9rieures \u00e0 la Banque mondiale de 2007 \u00e0 2010. Avant d\u2019occuper ce poste, M. Muasher a \u00e9t\u00e9 ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res (2002\u20132004) ainsi que vice-premier ministre (2004\u20132005) de la Jordanie. En 1995, M. Muasher a ouvert la premi\u00e8re ambassade de la Jordanie en Isra\u00ebl, et en 1996, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 ministre de l\u2019Information et porte-parole du gouvernement. De 1997 \u00e0 2002, il a de nouveau \u00e9t\u00e9 ambassadeur, cette fois \u00e0 Washington, o\u00f9 il a n\u00e9goci\u00e9 le premier accord de libre-\u00e9change entre les \u00c9tats-Unis et un pays arabe. Il a \u00e9crit deux livres : The Second Arab Awakening, publi\u00e9 par la Yale University Press en janvier 2014, et The Arab Center: The Promise of Moderation, \u00e9galement publi\u00e9 par la Yale University Press, en juin 2008.
